This Privacy Policy explains how Sanatan Sanskar (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Sanatan Sanskar mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). We built Sanatan Sanskar to be calm and respectful — and that extends to your data. We collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details. If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple, or email, we receive your name and email address to create and secure your account. You can use much of the app as a guest without signing in.
• Your saved content. Bookmarks, saved readings, and jap counts you create. If you are signed in, these sync to your account so they are available across your devices.
• Launch waitlist email. If you enter your email in the “Notify me” form on this website, we store it only to send you a single note when Sanatan Sanskar launches. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

Information collected automatically

• Approximate location (optional). With your permission, we use your device location to order the deities on your home screen to your region and to show accurate panchang timings. You can decline this and still use the app; location is never sold or used for advertising.
• Basic device & usage data. Limited technical information (such as app version and device type) needed to keep the Service reliable and to diagnose problems.

Payments

Purchases of Premium and Premium+ are processed entirely by the Apple App Store and Google Play. We never see or store your card or banking details. We receive only a confirmation that a valid purchase was made, so we can unlock your entitlement.

How we use information

• To provide the core experience — reading, the daily verse, panchang, jap counter, and your saves.
• To sync your saved content across your devices when you are signed in.
• To send the local reminders you choose to enable (these are scheduled on your device).
• To keep the Service secure, and to fix bugs and improve reliability.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We share information only with the service providers needed to run Sanatan Sanskar — for example, sign-in providers (Google, Apple), the app stores (for billing), and our hosting provider — and only to the extent required to deliver the Service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Notifications

Daily-verse and timing reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can turn them on or off at any time in the app's settings, or in your device settings.

Data retention

We keep account and saved-content data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

Your rights & choices

• Access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us.
• Decline or revoke the location permission at any time in your device settings.
• Turn reminders on or off whenever you like.
• Continue using core features as a guest, without an account.

Spam protection (reCAPTCHA)

To protect the “Notify me” form on this website from spam and abuse, we use Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. This use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit what we collect.

Children

Sanatan Sanskar is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
